The weather here is nasty but I did get some pictures thanks to two local news people who were shooting on location at the park downtown. (The story? "The crappy weather" according to the news anchor. Slow news day!)
This was my first foray into free motion quilting! I did a simple back and forth swirl (for lack of a better word) in each of the 9-square blocks. On the binding, I used a decorative stitch on my machine:
I'll be mailing this quilt to my little sister, Elizabeth.
